Welcome Note and Information

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to the 2024 St Louis Park Youth Football season!

We are working on setting teams and coaches, and are excited to kick-off the season!  You should be receiving information from your team’s coach very soon.  However, since time is short, there are a few key dates and events to be aware of for your player.

Equipment Handout

There are three scheduled dates for equipment handout:

  • TBD

The location for all equipment handout dates is the Louisiana Oaks Equipment Shed.  Louisiana Oaks is the park located across from Park Tavern on Louisiana Avenue and Walker Street.  The shed is west of the main park building and can be reached from the walking path just past the main building.

Important – Checks will no longer be required for equipment hand out as we will charge your card on file if you fail to return the equipment at the end of the season. Volunteer shifts will not be required.

Can't make equipment handout? Don't worry! You don’t need equipment to start practice since the first few days will be skills and conditioning work.

Tackle Player Weigh-In

Please go to LMAA website lmaa.org for a complete list of other association weigh-ins if you are unable to make the SLP weigh-in date and time.  Weigh-ins are starting August 20th.

Practices

Practices for all grade levels will start around August 12th. Your coach will reach out to you and your player shortly about your team’s dates, times, and locations.  Per league rules, coaches can have as much practice time as deemed reasonable before school starts.  Although once school starts, the league limits practice time to 5 hours per week.

We are looking forward to a great season!  Go Park!

Thanks,

SLP Football
